Performed Oracle Database Administration in addition to planning, scheduling and managing all phases of the Year 2000 remediation of a risk management system of a large financial Intranet used by traders to transact heavy volumes over a series of Internet hubs or internal network remote in Europe. Evaluated Oracle 8 pathway migration to handle the large volume of traffic. Created and administrated multiple database environments, performed backups, security and acted as an Oracle technical resource for all Oracle tools in addition to providing mentoring to an international team of 14. The project was completed on time and within budget. Re-mediating over 2,000,000 lines of code, utilizing a Source Code Control System. Designed a utility to re-remediate older code versions, that did not adhere to the SCCS rules of checked in code and checking out of code, prior to team development. Lead team to re-engineer character-mode forms into web-ready modules. Performed Y2K remediation on all code changes. Over 1, 000 SQL*Forms migrated from 2.3 to 3.0 to 4.5, Pro*C, Pro*Fortran, SQL*Plus, SQR, and DCL that ran on Oracle 7.1, Unix and VMS. Installed, configured and optimized Oracle8 on NT.
